Town Ordinances

These ordinances are general ordinances. These ordinances are adopted by the Board of Selectmen under their authority as the Governing Body of the Town. The Governing Body implements the will of the Town Meeting, who is the Legislative Body. The New Hampshire law that provides the Board with this authority can be found at NH RSA 47:17. Although the statute specifically references cities, the same authority is granted to Town Boards of Selectmen.
