Who we are:

mgplanning was created out of the vision of experienced planners who perceive a need for direct, client-focused professional planning services delivered at an affordable cost.  Our purpose is to provide committed services to municipalities while maximizing the benefits of a small partnership.  

Clayton R. Mitchell, Esq. Ph.D.   

Graduating with a joint degree Juris Doctor and Masters in Environmental Law, Attorney Mitchell has developed a blend of expertise in both planning and law.  During his time at Vermont Law School and its Environmental Law Center, Mr. Mitchell interned with the City of Lebanon NH and has worked for both the Rockingham and Strafford regional planning commissions.  He has lectured for the NHMA Law Lecture Series for three years and has, for the last seven years, presented at the Office of Energy and Planning's conference on a variety of land use and energy.  Mr. Mitchell has recently completed his Doctorate in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies at UNH.   

Michael J. Behrmann, MSEL

Michael has recently returned to MG Planning after receiving his Master’s degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and being Environmental Advocate for the New York Public Interest Research Group. He has experience in communicating a wide variety of environmental concerns to the public, media, and government officials and advancing protective environmental measures. He has worked on energy policy on all levels of government (local, state and federal), municipal land use planning and has a true passion for protecting the natural resources found throughout New Hampshire and the Northeast. Michael also holds a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire.
