Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Design

The first step for the Board was developing our foundation for action.  Here, we enlisted the help of ICLEI (see below).  After becoming members, the Board adopted the ICLEI resolution and set a target of reducing our carbon output by 25% in the year 2025 from our current projected output.  The Town will likely update this goal in the near future, since we hope to achieve this benchmark in two (yes - 2!) years.

ICLEI – is "Local Governments for Sustainability" an international association of local governments and national and regional local government organizations that have made a commitment to sustainable development.”  ICLEI has a regional center and a wide range of resources.
